Create a calculated column in the expense table to compute the total amount as amount before tax plus sales tax, using a currency data type.
Create a formula column with Power Fx to calculate totals like amount before tax plus sales tax. Learn inserting formulas, handling data types, and using autocomplete and get formula suggestions.
Create and configure a roll-up column in a table to calculate the sum of expenses from related records, filtered by draft status, with currency data type and 12-hour scheduled recalculation.
Configure and enable raw summaries in a model-driven app's environment, select fields such as employee name and start date, and view them via a summary button across main forms.
Configure security on tables by creating custom security roles, assigning them to users and teams, and applying column security profiles to restrict sensitive fields.
Apply business rules in the dataverse to enforce data integrity in model-driven apps. Restrict staff expense approval limits to 800 and validate data before saving to prevent invalid records.

Create a scheduled flow with for each loop and recurrence trigger to pull expenses from a Dataverse table and send a mobile notification, using OAuth, list rows, and string variables.
Test a Power Automate scheduled flow by listing rows from the Dataverse expenses table, initializing a variable, and using a for each loop to build an email text.
Map numeric claim status values to text using a switch control in Power Apps, handling draft, submitted, approved, and rejected with a default fallback.

What do people like you say about the previous version of this course (PL-100)?
James says: "Another awesome course from Philip. This course goes though all the major topics on the PL-100 exam in great detail and step-by-step, I followed along on my own trial tenant which I highly recommend. Take your time and go through it all!"
Will says: "This whole series has been fantastic; the best I have seen on this topic!"
Nikhil says: "Awesome course for PL100 Exam preparation. Updated: After completing the course I got the confidence to go ahead and attempt the exam. I m proud to announce that I passed on first attempt."
Stephen says: "I didn't even know what I didn't know until I took your course. You dragged me through topics I never knew I needed. The exposure helped me to guess correctly on the test (the second time). Your course was the most thorough coverage I could have received. Your coverage was so extensive, that I have to go back and review segments. ... Part of the time I tried to duplicate your magic. Again, Thanks 6 stars."
This course focuses on the various apps which make up the Power Platform, together with how they can be used by other programs, apps and services. It covers the requirements of Microsoft's AB-410 "Intelligent Applications Builder Associate" exam.
We'll get a free Developer edition and/or free trial of Power Apps Premium plan, and add some sample data into the Dataverse (previously known as the Common Data Service).
We’ll start with Dataverse tables and model-driven apps. We’ll create a model-driven app using data stored within tables in our Dataverse, and then expand it with custom forms, views, charts, dashboards, and Dataverse business rules.
We’ll then look at Power Automate flows. These can be used to manipulate data and run actions. We will create instant flows, which run when you need it, scheduled flows, which run on a timetable, and automated flows, which run based on events, such as when data changes in an external service.
We’ll continue with canvas apps. We will create an app from a blank, add screens and controls, and create reuseable components, variables, collections and more.
Finally, we'll then turn to the AI Hub. We'll look at how to create prompts, different AI models, and how to consume these models in apps and cloud flows. We'll also design solutions by using AI-enabled tools.
No prior knowledge is required - we'll even see how to get a free Power Platform trial!
Once you have completed this course, you will have a good knowledge of how to make Power Apps and Power Automate flows, together with prompts and AI models. With some practice, you could even take the official Microsoft AB-410 exam, which gives you the "Intelligent Applications Builder Associate" certificate. This would look good on your CV, resume or LinkedIn.
